Career Development and Networking

Coming up in November - Become a more confident public intellectual *new dates*

MERGA wants to raise the profile of Mathematics Education Research in Australasia. It can be challenging to disseminate practical insights arising from research to non-academic audiences. MERGA would like to support you in writing for media as a way to reach policy makers, schools and families. We have engaged  Leigh Arnold Communications to provide media training to an initial cohort of 12 members.

Session 1: Friday 13 November, 11am-2pm (AEST).

Session 2: Friday 27 November, 11am-2pm (AEST).

  • Platform: Zoom workshops (link to be provided)
  • Cost: $100 to be paid to MERGA once your place in the program is confirmed
  • Mini breaks and networking opportunities: Please BYO lunch / snacks

This program is for mid-late career researchers who have an important story to tell about mathematics education research and want to become more confident public intellectuals.
